Okay, so I haven’t posted in over a month! It’s the longest break so far from my personal blog, so here is a quick update. First off, we are working on releasing our first book. The book will focus on personal finance for the new economy and should be available sometime this summer.
My newsletter, FutureMoneyTrends.com, is about to launch something BIG!!! We’re taking personal finance help to the next level. It’s a place where individuals can go for investment advice on 401(k)s, IRAs, life insurance, and anything that has to do with a personal portfolio. I expect this new company to become one of the premier financial institutions in the world, with a focus on investing for the new economy.
Building businesses and multiple streams of income is critical to financial freedom, and let’s face it: financial freedom is freedom. At least, it can be if you have your mind right and aren’t focused on materialism.
With my youngest daughter turning 1 and my son nearing 6 years old, I have a renewed focus on valuing our time together. This life is flying by and I just LOVE having toddlers. My middle child is 3, and I just thoroughly enjoy the love that comes from these little people. Seeing my son mature and separate himself a bit is rewarding and sad. I’m sad because I will miss the sweet innocent moments that come with raising a baby, but it is very rewarding to see him grow into a young child who thinks for himself.
If there is 1 thing I can teach my children, it is to think for themselves.
Avoiding the pitfall of just being a pound of flesh on this earth, with a habitual routine of just waiting to die. If there is 1 thing I can encourage you to do today, it is to get fired up about life. Most people go to school, raise a family, retire, and then they die. Chart your own course; you can do anything and be anybody you want to be.
If you’re like me, then who you want to be will take time, and oftentimes, you have to sacrifice the “you” of today in order to become the “you” of the future. Simply put, if you aren’t happy today, then stop doing the things that make you unhappy. Sure, you might have to go through some pain, but I would rather go through short-term pain today in order to have the life I ultimately want.
DO NOT die with regret that you didn’t live the life you wanted. I plead with you to fully appreciate that you will die, and then make all the important decisions in life from that point.
Talk to you soon,
