Three years ago, I met a dear friend, a male soul mate, Lior Gantz, the worst possible representative for the Jewish people I have ever come across.
Lior loves pork and has no religion, but still buys a Christmas tree while living in Israel, and thinks being funny means crossing lines, killing sacred cows, and being completely offensive. It’s why I love him so much and connected with him so well. I love to laugh, and Lior and I have met twice. In both cases, I laughed enough to last me a year.
Still living in Israel, Lior and I converse daily through text messages and occasional phone calls.
Here is a recent essay Lior sent to me that I wanted to share with ya’ll.
Think and Enrich
When it comes down to it, the basic and originating design of man consists of thought.
All men think. One cannot escape this necessity. It is, then, an important matter. As I will show, it is probably of exceptional importance. At the outset, one must ask:
What is thought? What is its purpose, for we think 24/7, from the moment we are first conceived until that moment we pass on, and likely after that as well. A logical approach to thought must appreciate the fact and point to the notion that thought is the predecessor to action. Therefore, the first principle may be laid out: thoughts initialize actions. Secondly, we must ask where are our thoughts and who do they reach?
This is the key to feeling comfortable and at ease with yourself. It is an unprovable fact that thoughts are taken up by infinite intelligence working in and through all things to advance, create and supply reaches. Infinite intelligence, of course, as the cause of our creation is of the same nature of men, and shares his urge for enlargement. It is the law of enlargement visible throughout nature.
Our way, then, to feel at ease with ourselves lies in this faith:
That there is an infinite intelligence throughout all nature working for all, taking from none, forever seeking to better by enriching. It is the only enricher, for this storehouse is not merely intelligence, but substance. We are allied with substance, intelligent and ever creative, non-competitive, for it is in its nature pertaining to all of creation, and its only “limitation” is that it creates for the benefit of all – a universal win-win.
It is then asked why are all the troubles in our world? The simple answer is the law of abundance. As long as man does not operate from the basis of limitless supply of substance, ever changing forms for the benefit of all, one is doomed to the competitive plan, which is inherently based on fate and environment — both out of your control — relying solely on luck, and not on definite results. How, then, does one pass from the competitive to the creative plan? It is done first by living in mind, habitually holding the idea of truth – regardless of appearance. And secondly, by entertaining a state of deep and profound gratitude to intelligence for creating all that is needed and already working, and acting in the lives of man and things bringing them riches.
By making yourself an “enricher,” you open yourself up to the flow of life to you, thus allowing betterment and enlargement to prevail.
Let us recap:
- Thoughts are the predecessor of actions.
- All thoughts must be habitually of truth, and truth is that infinite intelligence and substance is always working for the enrichment of life.
- Become a creator, disregarding competition altogether, always in a state of profound gratitude towards infinite intelligence for enriching your life.
- Act to enrich, thus opening your environment to an influx of betterment.
Avoid all other methods.
Get comfortable. Be at ease.
